With graceful rounded action and streamlined stock it handles, feels and looks like the world's best handmade round body shotguns. We obsessed over every detail from the engraving created to accentuate the curve of the action to something as obscure as the shape of the trigger. This is not a quick makeover of our existing models; the barrels, action and stock are all different. The Ellipse is simply the evolution of the fine over-and-under hunting gun.

Field and Stream review of  the new Ellipse:
2010 Best of the Best (Winner): Ever since Italian manufacturer Caesar Guerini won Best of the Best in 2003, the company has upheld its reputation for giving customers a lot of gun for the money. Now Guerini takes the title again with the graceful, round-­bodied Ellipse, an o/u that fits right into the Guerini tradition. The curved lines of the receiver give the Ellipse a sleek, organic look complemented by an engraving of beautifully executed acanthus leaves on a background of rosettes. Our test model had richly figured walnut, gloss-oil finished and shaped in a Prince of Wales grip. At just over 61/2 pounds in 20 gauge, the gun has a solid rib to add a little weight to the front end, making it easy to carry and shoot. All three testers shot it well, and it functioned perfectly through many rounds of skeet. The Ellipse comes in a fitted case with five choke tube. - Phil Bourjaily
